Camera angles.

We we're given a camera and a genre. With these we had to create a variety of camera angles based on the genre which was given to us. We had horror so we bought a hideous mask and a scientists cloak to capture these camera angles.

Celebrity sex scandal

For one of my lessons we had to design a piece of clothing with a popular scandal with famous people. I chose John Terry's sex scandal with Wayne Bridge's girlfriend.

Zombieland title sequence analysis

The opening title sequence to the film Zombieland is exhilerating and interesting. It consists of effective slow-motion backed up by dramatic music making the audience feel the narrative engima to what is going to occur within the film. Will the zombies catch them and takeover?
In the title sequence to the film Zombieland the title font/typography is bold 2-d font which is coloured dark red. The colour red has been used to represent the theme of death and possibly horror. The music used in the sequence is dramatic and matches with what’s happening on the screen. While the music is playing there is a use of slow-motion on the screen, the music here helps build the excitement upon the entrance to this film because it connects well with what is happening on screen.
The mise-en-scene used in the title sequence consists of the characters wearing casual clothing and the zombies are wearing very similar clothing yet their clothes are ripped with blood stains splattered over them. The lighting was particularly bright, this could represent that the non-infected may survive.
Overall I would say that the title sequence was interesting and intrigues the audience to watch the rest of the film to find out what will happen.

Continuity piece

Me, Jason's and Mike's media film. Approx. 2 mins long. Filmed and edited by me. Acted and directed by Mike and Jason.

I had a lot of fun filming this as I enjoy using the camera and trying out new and interesting angles to film. I found the filming easy as the camera was static most of the time and did not require me to change the posistioning too much. The camera was very easy to use, the only issues was the life of the batteries and the tripod which it stood on. The tripod was unnecessarily big and stood out widely not making it easy for me to move it around.
I especially enjoyed editing as i enjoyed the challenge of matching the clips up perfectly to create this short film. The clips had to match up perfectly with eachother in order for it to look fluent and professional. Otherwise it could have looked sloppy, out of time and unprofessional.
Overall I did enjoy filming and editing this despite having a few faults in the process.
